Running Miles and Changing Lives

Patrick Lane

Thank you for visiting my fundraising page for Team HFOT in the Walt Disney World Marathon Weekend! I am working towards raising $1310 for Homes for Our Troops, a 501(c)(3) organization that supports severely injured veterans.

The money raised will go towards providing a mortgage free home to a Veteran who has suffered serious injury while serving our country.
Most of the home recipients are amputees, multi amputees, or have suffered a traumatic brain injury. The houses have over 40 major adaptations including widened doorways and halls to support wheelchair access, roll under access in the kitchen and bathrooms, hardwood floors, and pulldown shelving.

Homes for our Troops is one of the top tier veteran support non-profit organizations in the country and has a 4 star rating from Charity Navigator, an A rating from Charity Watch, and is in the top level of veteran and military charities from the BBB.

HFOT has helped 231 veterans so far with another 89 projects currently underway. Those include 3 homes in process in Oregon/Portland area(Bend, Salem, and Vancouver), one in the Moorhead, MN area, and 14 home projects underway in California.

We would love for you to help us out as we race towards our goal! Every little bit does help! Just Choose a race and make a donation:
$5 for the 5K
$10 for the 10K
$13 for the Half
$26 for the Full
$48 for the Dopey (all 4 races of the weekend...48.6 miles)
$51 for the Dopey Pirate (all 4 plus a 5K on Disney's Private Island)
or whatever you are feeling! All donations big or small will help us reach our goal.

Thanks for taking the time to read through this and for supporting Homes For Our Troops!
